CHAPTER ONE
*Sneak Preview

Alice was beginning to get very tired of sitting outdoors by her sister in Starbucks, and of having nothing to do. So she was considering in her own mind (as well as she could, for the hot day made her feel very sleepy and stupid), whether she should buy a second cup of coffee (grande carmel frappucino - no whip of course), when suddenly a White Rabbit ran close by her.

There was nothing so VERY remarkable in that; nor did Alice think it so VERY much out of the way to hear the Rabbit say to itself, 'Oh dear! Oh dear! I shall be late!' (since Malaysians are typically late). But when she saw the Rabbit actually CARRYING THE LATEST GUCCI BABOUSKA BOSTON BAG, Alice started to her feet, for it flashed across her mind that she had never before seen a rabbit that could afford a Gucci, and anyway, she wanted a closer look at the fable embroidery. Burning with curiosity, she ran across the mall after it, and fortunately was just in time to see it pop down a large rabbit-hole.
In another moment down went Alice after it, never once considering why is there a rabbit-hole in a mall, or how in the world she was to get out again. The rabbit-hole went straight on like a tunnel and then dipped suddenly down. Either the well was very deep, or she fell very slowly, for she had plenty of time as she went down to look about her and to wonder what was going to happen next.

'Well!' thought Alice to herself, 'after such a fall as this, I shall think nothing of going for bungee jumping! How brave they'll all think me at home!' (Which was very likely true.)

Down,
           down,
                       down.
Would the fall NEVER come to an end! 'I wonder if I shall fall right THROUGH the earth! How great that would be...even cheaper and comfortable than travelling on AirAsia!' she said aloud.
Down,
           down,
                       down.
There was nothing else to do, and here Alice began to get rather sleepy, and went on wondering to herself, in a dreamy sort of way, 'Do cats eat bats? Do cats eat bats?' and sometimes, 'Do bats eat cats?' when suddenly, thump! thump! down she came upon a heap of sticks and dry leaves, and the fall was over.

Alice was not a bit hurt, and she jumped up on to her feet in a moment: she found herself in a brightly lit room. LO AND BEHOLD! The room was surrounded with bags! Shelves and shelves of LOVELY BAGS TO BEHOLD: bags of every shape and sizes, bags of every colour, bags for every occasion. Scattered around the room, girls ran frantically around, arm full of bags. 'OMG, this must be some sort of a secret shopping realm...' Alice's shopping instincts kicked in. Forgetting all about the White Rabbit and her sister in Starbucks, she quickly wrestled with another girl to grab an eye-catching red satchel frame tote. "This should go well with my new formals....and anyway, I need a new bag".

the company

AliceWonders.com is a Malaysia home-grown registered company under the name YOUTHOPIA (001752252-U). It all began after nine sunnybears (and additional members later), one crazy conference, two 15 dollars breakfast puked out, twelve escargot in Paris, one stolen backpack in Venice, two 600km cycling trips, one whale shark, a 3-button brand, 2 online meetings, a few bags of Doritos (and 7kg gained), 25 boxes on the ship, two resignation letters, 5 brains listing out 86 potential names, 12,849 miles of flight and train travel, countless late nights, 4 incredibly tolerant family members (especially mums), bucket loads of sweat and even more laughs....and now we're here!

what alicewonders.com believes in...

1. Providing women with ENDLESS choice (we have no hundreds of employees, but we have our hundreds of bags).
2. Shopping is a treat and therapy, not a war zone with parallel parkings, stampeding shoppers and changing-room queues.
3. Fashion should be accessible, at only a click (and a few dollar bills) away.
4. Fashion like life is FUN and should be approached with a dash of humour.
5. Creative capitalism and giving back. So while you are shopping in alicewonders.com, use your online time to volunteer in other realms like onlinevolunteering.org.
